THE COLOGNE CENTRAL MOSQUE: A STRUCTURE WHO FOUGHT ALL ODDS. The Cologne Central Mosque is located in Ehrenfeld, Germany. It was designed by Paul Böhm which the construction cost €20 million. Paul Böhm designed the structure with modern Architecture style different from the Ottoman style which always has a moon. The building houses more than 4000 worshippers daily. Due to the high cost of the mosque donations where made by St. Theodore Catholic Church and multi group Muslim Associations. Paul Böhm specializes in designing churches but applied to design the Cologne center Mosque and won. The mosque has two high minarets of about 56 metre with glass walls and a large dome symbolising the moon. The inner structure comprises if lecture halls on the ground floor and Muslim library in research of the faith, a well is also placed in the centre of the building to create a cool atmosphere and beautify the surroundings.
